Steal the style: Golden Balls

David Beckham is not only known for his prowess on the football pitch, but his magnificent marketability. This Brit’s status is just one step shy of being knighted, but we all love and respect this Manchester United legend for his flawless style sense. Not only does he have an entire room of medals and trophies, he is undoubtedly one of the most stylish celebrities on earth. This week, we steal a few moves from this style icon.

Man in black

The thing about wearing something black and fitted is that there is an amazing amount of mystery, sex appeal and sophistication, rolled up into one. And of course, Becks does it best. This look comes straight out of London, from last month’s Wimbledon tennis tournament. David is seen wearing a simple, black dress shirt and some dark-wash jeans. With a wristwatch and plenty of show from his left and right-sleeved tattoos, he makes casual look ridiculously sophisticated. It’s a stark contrast from what he usually wears at these events; his countless combinations of suits are nothing to sneeze at.

The key here is finding an all-black panjabi that has multiple buttons lined down the middle, giving a slight illusion of it being a dress shirt. Roll your sleeves up, and put on a pair of dark-washed jeans. To add a little more flavour, get yourself some two-toned denim. There is a subtle gradient from the top of the jeans to the bottom, from black to midnight blue. To take it a step further, combining the panjabi with fitted black pyjamas will only enhance the look you can take into the evening.

Courtside ticket holder

In the American culture, seeing celebrities of all kinds on the sidelines, sitting as close as possible to the players on the court at a professional basketball game, is a very common sight. Mr David Beckham happens to be one of them. Golden Balls has been seen with similar looks sitting courtside on numerous occasions. The look is very simple with a hint of rebel cowboy in the mix.

Becks was seen there sitting with his sons in a denim shirt, black jeans, and black and white sneakers. Don’t worry about the heat. The denim shirt can easily be rolled up at the sleeves, leaving plenty of open space for your arms to breath. Combining the look with a couple of bracelets on one or two hands keeps things cool and balanced for such an occasion. While this isn’t your everyday look, it’s definitely an outfit you can pull off with the least bit of effort. Most ideal time to wear this would be a time when you don’t have much physical demands during a certain period of time.

Looking good is one thing, but if you don’t feel good or comfortable, those looks won’t help you much. Looking pretty can only get you so far, so keep these style tips on hand. And in case you haven’t noticed, if it does get a little hot, you can always take the denim shirt off and stick to your undershirt.

Tee time with loafers

We are all already aware of this endless suit collection, even if you’ve never taken a gander in this home, especially the closet in the bedroom. Our third look is about an all-black suit with daring brown suede loafers. This guy has a thing for black items and the choice to wear a quality t-shirt underneath his suit jacket or blazer. So whoever told you that you aren’t allowed to wear brown shoes with a black outfit or t-shirts are not allowed to be worn with suits were clearly misinformed.

Becks can easily stun the crowd with such an outfit but so can you. This look is clearly for evening events and the late night rendezvous with all the VIPs in life. Two key significant changes to an easy look such as this. Make sure your t-shirt is not a V-neck or a muscle-tee. The entire idea of having a quality, fitted t-shirt with a suit is you need to make it look as sophisticated as possibly without sacrificing comfort. As for the shoes, to play things safe, stick with darker toned shoes, both laced and without laces. But if you really want to take a page out of David’s style book, go bold and rock a pair of camel coloured shoes.

The contrast between all-black and something as loud and refined as camel is a beautiful mixture and a seductive treat for the eyes. They can either be loafers or lace-ups, depending on the occasion and comfort cushion surroundings. And for the love of all the is good, gentlemen, do not wear a blazer with a tacky shine on the lapels.
