British charity EYESeeMe Project and Dhaka based charity APON Foundation have formed an extraordinary friendship from overseas to help and support local slum children to receive an education and better youth opportunities for their futures.

To celebrate this collaboration, EYESeeMe project along with generous donations from kind people in the city organized a large party for 350 children at CityScape building in Gulshan. It was made possible by Cityscape proprietor and director Nahid Salwar.

The children arrived with great excitement on transportation donated by Mr Zabeer Khan, owner and managing director of Syntex Finishing Mills, and gleefully made their way to the 12th floor. Then there were party games organized by the teachers and a delicious meal supplied by Rancon Hospitality, paid for by U.K restaurant Yo Tuk Tuk which is owned by Aminul Choudhury. Nadia Hossain, and her family in memory of their father's foundation. There were delicious sweets and cakes provided by the in-house patisserie Horse & Horse which is situated on the ground floor and owned by Mehreen Mansur.

After the welcome speeches by APON Chairman M Zakir Hossain Khan and executive director M.A Zaman, Rebecca Robyns, CEO of EYESeeMe project gave thanks for all the donations and support.

Shortly afterwards, the children were treated to a visit from famous model, businesswoman and lawyer Peya Jannatul. Her inspirational speech delighted the young attendees. The party ended with each child receiving a hygiene bag sponsored by Rangs properties Ltd filled with gifts from Cute cosmetics courtesy of Quazi Saad lbne-Moin and local donors and a bottle of water each from Savera Mahmoud of Partex Star.

Rebecca Robyns commented that it was an absolute privilege to be part of such a special project to help the underprivileged children of Bangladesh and that its people were so welcoming, supportive and inspirational in their desire to make a long-lasting social change.
