Covid-19 kills another doctor

Dr Prof Lutſar Kader Lenin, a joint director at the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in Dhaka, has died from Covid-19.

He passed away at Square Hospital’s Incentive Care Unit around 2:50pm on Wednesday, said the institute’s Coordinator Dr Samanata Lal Sen, reports Bangla Tribune.

“The physician was put on a ventilator and receiving treatment after his physical condition deteriorated in the morning,” Samanta said.

He added that Dr Lenin was hospitalized after testing positive for Covid-19 some 20 days ago.

Dr Lenin was a student of the Dhaka Medical College’s 48th batch.

According to the Bangladesh Medical Association, so far 127 doctors have died from the deadly novel coronavirus around the country.
