Only the first ten lines of “Amar Sonar Bangla” constitute the country's national anthem. However, the ode Rabidranath Tagore wrote in 1905 during the first partition of Bengal, contains another 15 lines which is less known to us.
Now, this part of the ode is sung by 16 singers from different generations under musical arrangement of Nirjhor Chowdhury and Rokon Emon. The video of the song will be unveiled today on Youtube and audio version will come out on Radio 71 FM 98.4.
The singers who took part in this rendition of Amar Sonar Bangla includes Ferdous Wahid, Samina Chowdhury, Bappa Majumder, Juli, Topu, Pintu Ghosh, Joy Shahriar, Sharmin Sathi Moyna, Nishita, Jhilik, Ehsan Rahee, Mala, Shourin, Emon and Nirjhor Chowdhury. Two times Everest winner MA Muhith modelled in the video.
