
On the occasion of the International Mother Language Day, Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI) has undertaken this initiative. A total of ten films, including the latest blockbuster Aynabaji, are scheduled to be shown throughout the festival at Nandan.
The festival will commence on February 21, and it is scheduled to end on February 24. Acclaimed Indian director, Goutam Ghoshe will inaugurate the festival, while prominent Bangladeshi director, Morshedul Islam will occupy the chair of the chief guest. Munira Morshed Munni will grace the occasion as the guest of honour, and Arkadeb Bhaduri from Nandan will be present as a special guest.
Cast and crews of the selected films are also supposed to be there during the festival. The festival will outset with the projection of Abu Sayeed’s Kirtonkhola. Morshedul Islam’s Anil Bagchir Ekdin will also be projected on the first day of the festival. On the second day of the festival, Abu Shahed Emon’s Jalaler Golpo, and Amitabh Reza’s Aynabaji will be screened as well. The movies scheduled to be screened on the third day of the event are Ahsan Kabir Liton’s Prottaborton, and Morshedul Islam’s Amar Bondhu Rashed.
Moreover, Shabnam Ferdousi’s documentary Bhashajoyeeta, Khandokar Sumon’s Pounoponik, Tasmiah Afrin Mou’s Kobi Swamir Mrittur Por Amar Jobanbondi, and Nurul Alam Atique’s Doob Satar are scheduled to be projected on the final day of the festival.
