The Besharam star, who will soon be seen in Srijit Mukherji’s Begum Jaan alongside Vidya Balan, is doing quite a lot of films in the West. It has been speculated that the actress will soon be making her Hollywood TV debut.
Pallavi Sharda is content with the way her career is shaping up in the industry. Even though she has done a few projects in Australia, both films and on TV, Bollywood remains her primary focus.
Talking about how she plans to balance work in Australia and India, Pallavi said: “I think till date, I have maintained a very good balance between both the industries, and I will continue to do so in future as well. But I must confess that my heart lies in Bollywood. Bollywood is definitely my priority.” She is currently busy shooting for an Australian TV series titled, Pulse.
Although the Australian-Indian actress’ last two Bollywood ventures, Besharam (2013) and Hawaizaada (2015) failed to make an impression at the box-office, she hasn’t been derailed from her career path.
“As an actor, the journey and effort that I put in are more important than anything else. Box-office results never bog me down. Rather, I prefer working harder. I am still trying to find my niche in Bollywood. There’s competition in every field and Bollywood is a very saturated place, so I think longevity in the industry can be maintained only if you have quality and the tenacity to move ahead,” the 29-year-old actress added.
