Death metal giants of Brazil Krisiun and their compatriots NervoChaos are coming to Dhaka to serve some metal madness to Bangladeshi head-bangers on May 9 this year. The death metal groups will perform at a concert in Dhaka as part of their Asia Tour 2017.
The concert, titled “
The Metal Morgue,” will also see performances from local acts Severe Dementia and Thrash, organiser Raptor Entertainment confirmed.
Formed in 1990, by brothers Alex Camargo, Moyses Kolesne and Max Kolesne, Krisiun is best known as one of the major metal bands from their country, along with Sepultura. Till now, the two-decade-old metal militia have released 10 studio albums. Krisiun performed as a supporting act for heavy metal pioneer Black Sabbath during the latter’s farewell tour in Brazil.
The trio produces death metal music, considered the most extreme sub-genre of heavy metal, characterised by heavily distorted guitar, growling vocals, primordial screams and aggressive drumming.
NervoChaos, who have released seven studio albums, will share the stage with Krisiun during the tour. The group, consisting of 4 members, has been on the death metal scene since 1996. They released their latest full-length album, titled “Nyctophilia,” earlier this April.

Raptor Entertainment Director Saimum Hasan Nahian told the Dhaka Tribune: “Our neighbouring countries have experienced huge international metal acts way before us. We have a large number of metal-heads in Bangladesh, who are always thirsty for major international bands. We are very lucky that Bangladesh is going to be a part of the Asian Tour of such big groups.”
According to the organiser, the bands will arrive at Dhaka on May 8.
The concert will be held at the TCB Auditorium located in Kawran Bazar of Dhaka. Tickets are priced at Tk2000 each and are available on ticketchai.com.
