Following the colossal success of the film, a TV series titled Aynabaji Orginal Series, based on the original film, is in the making. The news was broken at a press conference held in the capital on Sunday.
Aynabaji Original Series will revolve around the main plot of the film, subtly depicting the various facades in a man’s life.
The series comprises of seven episodes, an hour each, with different storylines, events and characters. However, there will be a common “Aynabaji vibe” throughout the central storyline coupled with some exciting cinematography.
The creative team behind the series assured that every episode of the series will represent the original film in every aspect through the storyline and acting.
The TV series is slated to air during the upcoming Eid on three private TV channels, GTV, RTV and Deepto TV, simultaneously for seven days.
Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, the director of the film, will serve as a directorial consultant of the TV series while Syed Gousul Alam Shaon, the writer and a cast member himself, will act as a creative consultant for the series.
Tom Creations and Candy Production will jointly produce the TV show.
The series will be filmed under the direction of seven talented directors including the likes of Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Ashfaq Nipun, Sumon Anwar, Goutam Koiri, Taneem Rahman Angshu and Robiul Alam Robi.
Amitabh Reza Chowdhury said, “For me, Aynabaji’s biggest achievements were seeing the happy faces of viewers getting out of the theatres, and generating a large number of audience who usually refrain from watching Bangla movies in theatres. The initiative for the series has been undertaken only to reach out to a wider audience.”
“We are bringing back Aynabaji, with new stories, and new characters,” he added.
Ziauddin Adil, one of the producers of the Aynabaji Orginial Series and CEO of Top of Mind, said, “Aynabaji is a milestone in Bangladeshi cinema which made the audience come back to the theatres. The same minds who made that possible on the big screen are now coordinating the making of Aynabaji Orginal Series.”
The cast of the TV series is yet to be revealed. Apart from the producers and directors, Aman Ashraf Faiz, managing director of GTV, Syed Ashik Rahman, CEO of RTV, Urfi Ahmad, CEO of Deepto TV and actress Urmila Srabanti Kar were present at the press conference.
