
Saikat Nasir’s latest film Pashan is gearing up for an Eid-ul-Adha release. The film starring Bidya Sinha Mim and Om from Kolkata will be submitted to the censor board this month after the dubbing of the film is completed.
The plot of the film is yet to be revealed but rumour has it that Mim will be seen playing the role of a journalist.
Saikat Nasir, who won the National Film Award in the best screenplay catergory for Desha: The Leader, has confirmed his plans to opt for an Eid-ul-Adha release saying “the audience aspire to watch something fresh during the season.”
The filmmaker shared the reason why he took so much time for the making of Pashan saying that he never wanted to compromise its quality. “People love to watch a perfectly-made film with a fresh interesting storyline. I believe this would be a perfect treat for the Bangladeshi audience in the coming Eid,” Nasir added.
The director also informed that the film’s first teaser will come out sometime next week.
Saikat Nasir wrote the story and screenplay of Pashan. The cast includes the likes of Shadek Bacchu, Elora Gohor, Amir Siraji, Nader Ali, Tanvir Tanu and Shimul Khan. Late actor Mizu Ahmed played a special role in it while Bapasha Kabir performed an item song for the film.
Mim recently wrapped up shooting for yet another film titled Yeti Obhijaan, directed by talented Indian filmamker Srijit Mukherjee, to be released in September. In Yeti Obhijaan, she shared the screen with Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, Ferdous Ahmed and Aryann Bhowmik.
