Prince Harry and his actress girlfriend Meghan Markle have made their first official appearance together at the Invictus Games at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Invictus Games is a Paralympic event for wounded service members from around the world.
They, however, were not seated together, with Markle sitting just a few feet away from the prince. Prince Harry, the grandson to the Queen, sat alongside First Lady Melania Trump, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau and Ukraine’s president Poroshenko. The royal protocol dictates that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle cannot sit together at any official events until they are engaged.
The Suits star was all smiles as she cheered on the athletes. After inaugurating the event, Prince Harry told the audience that he wanted to be inspired “by the spirit of those who wear the uniform.”
Meghan Markle, who met the royal last year, recently talked about her relationship with Harry in a Vanity Fair interview, “I can tell you that at the end of the day, I think it’s really simple. We’re two people who are really happy and in love.”
