Priyanka Chopra joins Aamir Khan in first Indian cosmonaut biopic

Since last month, rumours were floating around that Priyanka Chopra will be joining as a part of Rakesh Sharma (first indian astronaut) biopic. Her Bollywood fans were eagerly waiting for her return on the big screen for the last two years as she was mostly busy with her projects in Hollywood. But the Quantico actor will star with Aamir Khan in the Rakesh Sharma biopic and she finally signed for the project. According to a report in DNA, Priyanka agreed for the project but she will not essay the role of Aamir’s wife in the biopic as suggested in earlier reports. Priyanka, too, will be seen in the role of another astronaut in the film. This is the first time that Aamir and Priyanka will share the big screen space. Tentatively titled Salute, the biopic has been in news and discussions for quite some time. This will be the second biopic project for Priyanka after Mary Kom. DNA quoted a source stating, "Well, there was some interest from her side. Because she hasn't ever worked with Aamir Khan." Apart from Salute, Priyanka has also greenlit another biopic project based on Kalpana Chawla, another Indian astronaut.
