Lyricist and journalist Golam Rabbani received special honour from music label Gaanchill for writing the song “Local Bus.” Sang by Momtaz Begum, “Local Bus” was a big hit in 2016.
The song made Pritom Hasan popular to the young generation for being the co-artist and music composer.
Another lyricist Lutfor Hasan contributed in the song with Rabbani.
The song is a satire that expresses relationships from a different point of view.
It has earned 10,874,580 views through Gaanchill's official Youtube Channel.
After receiving the special award, Golam expressed his emotion in social media. He wrote, “The first Friday of the year was really a different day for all the passengers of Local Bus. Last evening was filled with nostalgia, good food and chit chat. I would like to thank Asif Iqbal and the Gaanchill family for arranging such an event. I also thank Pritom, Shafayet, Lutfor Hasan, Angshu and my dear Habib Wahid. Let's bring back the golden age of Bangla songs."
The casts in the music video were Adit Rahman, Shoumik Ahmed, Mumtaheena Chowdhury Toya, Shafayat Hossain, Pritom Hasan and Momtaz Begum.
The video was directed by Taneem Rahman Angshu and the rap verses in the song had been done by Shafayat Hossain.
