Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” has already broken the record for highest presales in its first 24 hours. Starring Chadwick Boseman and directed by director Ryan Coogler, the movie opened for advance ticket sales late Monday.
“Black Panther is riding an incredible wave of momentum right now,” Fandango Editor Erik Davis said. “It’s one of the biggest and most anticipated movies to ever open in the month of February, and its trailers have electrified the Internet.”
The movie, which features Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan along with Boseman, also became one of the most-watched Marvel trailers in its first 24 hours outnumbering “Captain America: Civil War,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
“Black Panther” opens February 16.
