Producer-director Rakesh Roshan announced on Twitter that “Krrish 4,” the 4th installment of the Indian superhero movie franchise, will be released in December 2020.
The film features the of son director Rakesh Roshan, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan in the role of the superhero.
The announcement came as a birthday gift for his son on January 10.
The “Krrish” franchise began with the 2003 blockbuster hit “Koi... Mil Gaya.”
Hrithik Roshan first wore the black cape in 2006 in “Krrish” and continued his role in “Krrish 3” in 2013. There was no movie by the name Krrish 2.
“Krrish 4” production was on progress for a long time, the director told Times of India in 2016 that his Hrehaan and Hridhaan is consulting him on the recent development in the world of superhero films.
The Krrish films got accused before for plagiarism and borrowing plot points and scene to scene identical sequences from several Hollywood films, predominantly the X-Men series.
Despite all that, all the Krrish films made huge money at the box office.
