Famed composer Fuad Almuqtadir has shared a video message of himself on his official Facebook page saying he has recently been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
In a Facebook video posted on January 14, he said he wanted to share a message with his family, friends and fans, adding he did not want any of them to hear it from any other sources.
Fuad in his video said he has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer during a recent checkup. The current stage of the cancer is still not confirmed by his doctors and he has to go into surgery when that is done.
At the end of the video, he assured everyone that the survival rate of thyroid cancer is the highest of any cancer and hopefully he will recover very soon. He also asked for everyone's prayers and best wishes.
The post comes two days after the release of a music video of the first ever collaboration of Habib Wahid and Fuad Almuqtadir. It has been released under Gaanchill’s label was released on Gaanchill Music’s official YouTube channel on January 12. The video featuring Habib and Sharlina, shot in Sri Lanka, received massive response from the audience and gained 400,000 views on YouTube within the first 48 hours.
Famous Bangladeshi composer and musician Fuad has been living in New York for the last few years but still maintains a strong bond with the Bangladeshi music scene. His mixed albums at the beginning of his career received massive praise. Collaboration with Habib’s recent “Cholo Na” and last year’s collaboration with Imran on “Dhowa” were hits too.
