
Feature film “Balighor”, directed by Kolkata’s acclaimed director Arindam Sil, will start its shooting from April, announced at a press conference organised by Bengal Creations, on Saturday at a 5 star hotel in Dhaka.
The film is a joint venture co-production between Bangladesh’s Bengal Creations and India’s Nothing Beyond Cinema. The film was announced at a press conference followed by a joint venture memorandum signing ceremony between the two production companies at Dhaka on January 20.
The film is based on West Bengal’s popular novelist Suchitra Bhattacharya’s novel “Dheu Ashe Dheu Jaay.” The film’s lead cast will include actors from both countries. Abir Chatterjee, Parno Mittra, Rahul Banerjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Arifin Shuvoo will be seen in the major roles.
The film’s music will be done jointly by India’s acclaimed musician Bickram Ghosh and Bangladeshi band Chirkutt. It will start its production at different locations of Bangladesh and India.
Producer Abul Khair on behalf of Bengal Creations, director Arindam Sil on behalf of Nothing Beyond Cinema, members of the cast Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Arifin Shuvo were also present at the press conference.
