After a not-so-rewarding comeback with Shah Rukh Khan in “Dilwale,” Bollywood sweetheart Kajol took a while to get organised again.
Now Kajol is back to work and reportedly all set to begin shooting her next film titled “Ela,” from January 24. The actress who played a mean corporate in “VIP 2” starring opposite Dhanush, will now be seen as an aspiring singer in the film being produced by husband Ajay Devgn.
“Ela” will showcase Kajol aspiring to be a singer. According to the reports, she plays a single mother in the film that will trace her journey from a divorcee to a successful singer.
Daughter of actress Tanuja Samarth and late filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee, Kajol is a popular Bollywood actress. Along with her late aunt Nutan, she holds the record for winning most (five) Best Actress awards at Filmfare. In 2011, the Government of India awarded her with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor of the country.
