Jaya throws all-girl party to celebrate their Filmfare win

Actor Jaya Bachchan recently hosted a dinner for some of Bollywood’s divas to celebrate their wins at Filmfare Awards 2018. The guest list includes Vidya Balan, Swara Bhaskar, Konkona Sen Sharma, “Lipstick Under My Burka” director Alankrita Srivastava, “Secret Superstar” actress Meher Vij, “Bareilly Ki Barfi” director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, actress Seema Bhargava Pahwa, producer Shrishti Behl, lyricist Kausar Munir and television producer Nasreen Munni Kabir. Meher Vij, who won the award for Best Supporting Actress at Filmfare for her powerful performance in “Secret Superstar”, took to social media to talk about the party. Meher shared a group photo from the event on her personal Instagram account. The caption reads: “Last evening was perfect reward when Jaya Bachan ji invited us for a lovely dinner- what an inspiring energy I had around me with such lovely ladies.” Swara posted the same picture on her Instagram account and captioned it: "Really the most perfect way to celebrate Basant Panchami, Saraswati Puja. Thank you, Jaya ma'am, for a wonderful evening full of laughter, conversation, stories and old and new friends." Jaya was last seen in a cameo in R Balki's “Ki and Ka” with her husband Amitabh Bachchan. Even though Jaya is barely seen on film screens these days, she has kept her association with the film industry, and is often spotted at award shows and other Bollywood events.
