Renown TV director and scriptwriter Badrul Anam Saud, who has recently made his silver screen debut with “Gohin Baluchor,” is back in action. The director is now busy working on a new script, he informed Showtime on Wednesday.
Despite its meagre box office gross, Saud’s film “Gohin Baluchor” garnered critical acclaim and recognition from both critics and audiences, which has inspired the director to venture into his new project.
“The way cine-goers from both inside and outside the country supported ‘Gohin Baluchor’ was really inspiring. Their adoration for the film is enough reason for me to overlook the monetary outcome,” Saud told Showtime.
“I have already started writing a new script,” he continued. “Hopefully, the script will be ready by April and then, I am planning to sit with producers.”
Featuring a stellar-cast including Suborna Mustafa, Raisul Islam Asad, Bonna Mirza, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Jitu Ahsan along with newbies Neelanjona Neela, Abu Hurayra Tanvir and Jannatul Noor Moon, Saud’s debut feature was released on December 29.
The film was released in Canada and US theatres on January 19.
