Nagorik TV launched its full and commercial transmission on March 1.
The television channel, owned by late television personality and mayor Annisul Huq, will go on air at 7pm on Thursday, said the channel authorities.
On the occasion, a program titled `Swapno Simahin' (boundless dreams) has been organised around 7pm at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
The program will be aired live, said Kamruzzaman Babu, head of program of the channel.
The authorities will honour noted personalities in this program on behalf of 'Annisul Huq Foundation' for their contribution to civic development, education and the media.
The channel started its activities four years ago led by Annisul Huq, and has produced some unique programs during this period. Later TV personality Abdun Noor Tushar joined the team as its CEO.
Tushar said: “We are trying to produce quality programs for our audience. The best achievement is the satisfaction of the audience and we hope they will enjoy the content.”
Since the unfortunate demise of Huq, his wife Rubana Huq and CEO Tushar are operating the channel.
