Bengal C Hub, a platform to unify the creative industry, share resources and open up career opportunities, successfully completed Bengal Creative Fest 2018 held at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB). The event was focused on the limitless potential of the creative industry. The event received overwhelming response from students, job seekers and creative professionals alike.
“It is my desire to connect the creative community in Bangladesh by establishing a creative social enterprise. We have a rich source of untapped creative potential that is going unnoticed in the country. I wish to see that no talent goes to waste and that creative minds stay engaged in their pursuits. Bengal C Hub will be the medium that shapes the creative identity of Bangladesh and put it on the global map,” said Abul Khair, chairman of Bengal Group Limited and Bengal C Hub Limited.

Eeshita Azad, managing director of Bengal C Hub, thanked Minister of Posts, Telecommunication and ICT Mustafa Jabbar, Kamal Lohani, eminent journalist and cultural activist, Shamsuzzaman Khan, the Director General of Bangla Academy, Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman and Abul Khair, Chairman of Bengal Group Limited and Bengal C Hub Limited for inaugurating the event.
The two-day career festival featured interactive sessions, job opportunities and the opportunity to network with prospective employers and the chance to submit CVs. Employer partners at the Fest got a positive response from creative employment seekers. In addition, visitors got the chance to experience the C Hub web portal in beta first hand at the DigiLab corner.
Different sessions focused on how friendship helps in overcoming difficulties in the industry, the impact of creativity in our lives, the impact of digitalization on creative work and how to nurture creativity into a profession. Some sessions addressed key doubts that many creative professionals face in their lives. The discussions at the event helped dispel myths about creative careers and encouraged more youths to engage in creative pursuits.
