Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan’s “Chaalbaaz” was released in more than 100 theatres around Bangladesh on Friday. The film, directed by Joydeep Mukherjee and produced by India’s Eskay Movies, starring Shakib Khan and popular Kolkata filmstar Subhasree Ganguly, was imported in Bangladesh by NU Traders under the South Asian Free Trade Area (Safta) agreement.
Shakib recently told the press he was hoping this film could be distributed in Bangladesh despite it being an Indian film. He also said this sort of big budget film should be released during big festivals like Pohela Boishakh. He also said it would have been great if it was released then as his fans had requested via social media platforms to release the film with the Bangla New Year.
The film also stars Rajatava Dutta, Sagnik, Joydeep Mukherjee, Syed Hasan Imam, and many others.
The film was released in Kolkata last week.
