Asian Model Awards is proclaimed to be the largest entertainment festival in Asia, with spectacular performances from top models in Asia and K-pop stars. The award show was held on Sunday in Seoul, Korea.
Twenty participating models were selected through a private audition during Asian Model Festival. Celebrated model Shabnaz Sadia Emi represented Bangladesh at the festival. She walked the runway at the gala in a glittery silver jacket and black skinny pants.
Emi received the Model Star Award along with representatives of other participating countries, namely Gankhuyag Oyungerel from Mongolia, Yith Meas Aussa from Cambodia, Medenova Aidana from Kazakhstan, Mai Thi Giang from Vietnam, Yith Meas Aussa from Singapore, Dennis Yin from Malaysia, Supriya from India, and others. The award giving ceremony was followed by a performance by K-pop girlband Fromis 9, along with other popular Korean bands.
The organizers of the festival confirmed that a model hunt contest titled “Face of Bangladesh” will be organized from now on, as part of the festival. Four new models will be picked from this contest to compete at the “New Star Model Contest” and “Face of Asia.”
