Soundarya Sharma has joined the cast of “Wonder Woman 1984.”

In a statement to IANS, Sharma said the following about being part of the project:

“This I can say is a ‘dream coming true’ situation. It’s exhilarating to be a part of such a larger than life character film where you get to play your dream role. I have always dreamt of playing such a character and idolized it.”

Details about Sharma’s character are being kept under wraps. Sharma joins returning stars Gal Gadot and Chris Pine in the highly-anticipated DC project, which is currently being filmed.

Plot details for the “Wonder Woman” sequel are currently being kept under lock and key. The film is said to follow Gal Gadot’s Amazonian Princess during the Cold War as she faces off against the Soviet Union in the 1980s.

Kristen Wiig is on board as the film’s main villain, Cheetah, based off of the Barbara Ann Minerva version of the character from the comics. “Narcos” and “Game of Thrones” star Pedro Pascal has also joined the cast of the film in a key role.

“Wonder Woman 2” is currently set to hit theaters on November 1, 2019.
