FFSB to organize memorial event for Anwar Hossain

The Federation of Film Societies of Bangladesh (FFSB) is set to organize a memorial event for deceased freedom fighter, photographer, and cinematographer Anwar Hossain today.

The legendary photographer died on Saturday, December 1. The memorial event will begin at the National Music and Dance Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 5:30pm. It is being organized by FFSB in collaboration with Bangladesh Short Film Forum, and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

Anwar Hossain’s sons Akash and Meghdut, friends and relatives, fellow freedom fighters, colleagues, prominent photographers, film-makers, cinematographers and leaders of film societies in Bangladesh are set to attend the event. 

FFSB General Secretary Belayet Hossain Mamun will moderate the event, while Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky will preside over the proceedings.

A discussion on the life and work of Anwar will be organized at the event.

The memorial event is open to all, and FFSB, Bangladesh Short Film Forum, and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy cordially invites all the people who knew Anwar Hossain to attend.
