Acclaimed musician Tanzir Tuhin, former vocalist of popular Bangla rock band Shironamhin, has released a new music video with his new band Avash. The second music video of the band titled “Avash” was released on their official YouTube channel on Monday.
The music video with philosophical words and symbolic imagery gained more than 80 thousand views within the first 24 hours of its release.
The track was co-written by Mehedi Hasan and members of the band. Avash vocalist Tuhin, lead guitarist Sumon Monjurul, drummer Rinku Islam, bassist Raajue Sheikh, and keyboardist Shawon Kaium are featured in the newly released video track.
The video was written and directed by acclaimed Bangladeshi film-maker Arifur Rahman and his production company, Goopy Bagha Productions Limited.
Dhaka Tribune’s Showtime contacted Arifur Rahman and asked about the inspiration behind this project. Arifur said: “I was quite a fan of Tuhin bhai’s music back in my university days and had a chance to work with him personally when I was working as a producer at BBC on a project.
"Later on, Sina Hasan, who is also an independent musician with his band Bangla Five, introduced me to Avash as they were looking to create a conceptual music video. My production company Goopy Bagha was on board with the project and the video’s concept of humanity. Avash wanted to establish how we are all human in this world, how we love and care for each other as a species, yet we wage war with each other.”
“What I loved about the whole project was that it was more of a musical film rather than a typical music video. Hopefully the audience will connect to its theme,” added Arifur.
The audio version of the track is currently available on every local music streaming platform and is also available on iTunes, Google Play Music, Spotify, Saavn and many other international music streaming sites.
The international distributor of the track is the ME Label under management of Mushroom Entertainment Inc.
Previously, Avash released their first music video “Manush - 1” back in August 24, 2018, which was also received well by listeners.
