Eminent singer Subir Nandi will be taken to Singapore on Monday for better treatment as directed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports UNB.
The Ekushey Padak-winning singer, now undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, will be flown to Singapore tomorrow by an air ambulance, the prime minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.
After he suffered a massive heart attack, Subir was admitted to the CMH on April 14.
Prime Minister Hasina has been monitoring the critically ill singer’s health condition ever since.

On April 19, singers Kumar Biswajit, Tapan Chowdhury, Rafiqul Alam and physician Dr Samanta Lal Sen met Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban to apprise her about the treatment of the singer.
The prime minister directed Dr Samanta to send all the medical papers of Subir Nandi to Singapore, and told them that she had extended all kinds of cooperation for his treatment twice back in 1998.
