For the first time, a smartphone has been used to completely film a professional production that will soon be released on iflix. The short film, titled “Ferar Gaan”, is directed by Shafayet Mansoor Rana, and stars rock icon Jon Kabir.
The film has been completely shot using Samsung flagship phone Galaxy S10+.
The story revolves around Rubab Khan, a famous star of the country, played by Jon. His music is adored by everyone and he has millions of fans, but he is very egocentric and looks down upon others. A super fan, played by Sayeed Zaman Shawon, manages to make his way backstage, where he asks for a selfie. In response, Rubab behaves rudely with him, to the point where the fan is thrown out by his guards.

Regarding the production, Md Muyeedur Rahman, the head of mobile phones at Samsung Bangladesh, said: “Our team is very excited to work with the cast of ‘Ferar Gaan’ and hope the audience will like the short film.”
