Fans to discover a new Karnival in their fourth album

Control Room, one of the songs from the album definitely has that alternative pop and disco vibe

Rock band Karnival’s fans will find a completely different sound from the band’s forthcoming album. The album will contain a total of seven songs including an instrumental number, composed by the band's guitarist, Salmi Rahman. 

The band hasn’t finalized the name of the album yet, however, they are planning to release the album after Eid-ul-Azha. 

Talking about the album, band’s vocalist and guitarist, Tinu Rashid told Dhaka Tribune’s Showtime: “We tried to create a different sound in this album, thus most of our songs will be very different compared to our earlier albums. 

“For instance our debut album was a rock album while Attotshorgo and Dysfunctional Motion Picture were experimental rock albums. 

“This will be a disco, funk or alternative pop style album. 

Tinu said that the band has finished 50% mixing of the album. “Raju bhai and I did most of the mixing. 

“The album was recorded at Studio Basement and will be mastered by Raju bhai, he added.

Control Room, one of the songs from the album definitely has that alternative pop and disco vibe. Karnival also has shot a music video of the song which will be released soon. Live From Dhaka  director, Abdullah Saad, made the music video. 

The band’s front-man also said that the album cover art is done and they want to keep it a surprise for their fans at the moment. 

Last week I had an opportunity to listen to the raw version of this song, and I can tell the song has all the potentials to be an instant hit.

Tinu wrote the six songs of the album. Another song of the album is called, Sheishob Din Raatri  which is dedicated to Tinu’s late elder brother. 

Current line-up of the band features Tinu Rashid on vocals and guitar, Salmi Rahman on guitar, Mousum Dhamai on bass, and Khalid Ashraf on drums. 

Karnival was formed in 2006.  On September 19, 2009 the band released their debut album Indraloy. After three years they released second album, Attotshorgo and third album Dysfunctional Motion Picture was released in 2014.
