Netizens have been praising the unique design approach of the poster since its release
Acclaimed Bangladeshi television dramatist, screenwriter, and film-maker Nurul Alam Atique’s debut feature film Manusher Bagan-Peoples of the Garden has unveiled its first poster. Its designer, Liton Kar, posted the official poster of the film on his Facebook profile on Monday.
The poster features more than 20 major cast members of the film with a composite of planet earth in the background. The poster seems to be an artistic attempt of recreating Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting “The Last Supper.”
Netizens have been praising the unique design approach of the poster on social media since its release.
The Dhaka Tribune’s Showtime contacted Liton. He said: “A lot of things need to be said about this work. People are calling me and appreciating the work which is an honour."
Renowned actor and the film’s cast member Zinat Sanu Swagata also shared the poster on her Facebook profile. She thanked director Nurul Alam Atique for her role, and its poster designer Liton Kar for designing the “wonderful poster.”
The film is produced by Mokhlesur Rahman Lenin. The film was shot by renowned cinematographer Barkat Hossain Palash, and is currently being edited by National Film Award winning editor Sameer Ahmed. Nishat Jahan Nafiza worked on the project as its costume designer, while Rabi Dewan was its art director.
Atique received the Bangladesh National Film Award as the best scriptwriter for the full-length feature film “Kirtonkhola” directed by Abu Syed. He also received the Meril Prothom Alo Critic Award as the best director, and best scriptwriter for his TV drama “Choturtha Matra.”
