Goethe-Institut Bangladesh organized a concert to inspire the German language learning students of its four partner schools under the Pasch Initiative. German band Erfindenker performed at the concert on Saturday at the auditorium of the institute in Dhanmondi.
The partner schools under the Pasch Initiative are: Oxford International School, European Standard School, South Point School and College, and Maple Leaf International School.
Dr Kirsten Hackenbroch, director of the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh inaugurated the event.
Erfindenker rocked the hall filled with young audiences with their groovy German songs. The young music lovers sang, and got down on the dance floor with the band.
The German band presented a total of 20 songs including 30 Grad, Spring, Erfindenker-Medley, among others.
Erfindenker line-up features Fabio Niehaus on Keys and DJ , Luka Sommerfeld on Guitar, Melissa Demissie on vocals, and Caroline Leuzinger on vocals.
The band performed in Dhaka as part of Goethe-Institut’s regional initiatives, and the band performed in many South Asian cities including Kathmandu, Karachi, Lahore, and various cities in India, and finally in Dhaka. The tour spanned from August 16 to September 21.
As part of the Dhaka tour, Erfindenker band members also conducted a daylong workshop with 48 enthusiastic students from the four partner schools on Friday. The participating students also rehearsed with the band members through the workshop, to perform three songs on the stage, alongside the band members, during the concert.
