Feeling the Void: Solo exhibition of Hamiduzzaman Khan brings out his diverse style of canvas

The solo art exhibition, Feeling the Void  features the experimental works of renowned sculptor-painter Hamiduzzaman Khan. The displayed works at the art show demonstrates his experimentation with new media and diverse styles.  Curated by Mustafa Zaman, the exhibition displays sculptures, installations and paintings by the artist.

Throughout a career spanning five decades, the artist experimented with his style and medium, and the exhibition is an outcome of that.  The displayed abstract works, done in watercolor, represent fragments of memories for him. 

Hamiduzzaman’s artworks depict nostalgia, emotions, real life experiences, serenity of nature and personal thoughts. The displayed sculptures at the exhibition are also a reflection of his thoughts and emotions. 

Dwip Gallery organised the solo art exhibition in Lalmatia, Dhaka. Eminent writer-critic Hasnat Abdul Hye, artist Monirul Islam and Dean of the Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka, and Professor Nisar Hossain, inaugurated the exhibition on October 11.

Dwip gallery is part of a platform called 180 Degrees, which is working towards providing momentum to the thriving art scene in Bangladesh. 

The exhibition will remain open for all from 3 pm to 9 pm every day except Monday, till October 27.
