Emerging indie musician Samin Ahmed released a new single, titled Blue, on October 22 on various digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play.

Samin also released a music video of the song on his official YouTube channel. The music video was shot at various locations of Sydney, Australia, where Samin is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree.

Samin wrote and composed the song, which was produced by Rakat Zami. The song has a soothing vibe which makes the listener nostalgic. Rayhan Hassan's subtle bass line complements the song.

The slow melodic number has Samin's original acoustic style. He was trained in classical music as a child, which is reflected in his music. Listeners can find many indie folk elements in his music as well.

As Samin's music includes fusion and indie-folk elements, Blue is soothing to the ears of the listeners. A few lines from the song are: "No fortunes faded, I can't decide for you, stuck in the past, not knowing what to do, you’re here but now is not the when, how can I breathe not knowing how to swim."

Speaking to Dhaka Tribune’s Showtime about the new single, Samin said the song was about two intertwined souls. He also said he had written the song in 20 minutes in July during his Dhaka visit. He first composed the music, and then the lyrics came.

Samin also has a band in Sydney. “It is called Packing Dhaka, but I am the only person from Dhaka and the rest of the members are Australians,” Samin said, laughing.

Last year, Samin released another single titled Iced Tea & Cigarettes.
