Cover of the book was unveiled in the presence of musicians, lyricists, and Russell’s friends from the media. The launching event was followed by a discussion, titled Zulfiqer Russell through lyrics

Lyricist and Bangla Tribune Editor, Zulfiqer Russell’s book, Joler Damey, was launched at Dhaka Lit Fest (DLF) 2019.

Zulfiqer Russell, Mohammad Rafiquzzaman, Samina Chowdhury, Fahmida Nabi, Bappa Mazumder, Nakib Khan, and Moni Jaman were the panelists of the session.

Musician, lyricist, and music director Nakib Khan said: “We consider Russell a member of the family. He wrote a song for our (Renaissance band's) album. Russell also wrote a song for my solo album. 

"At this age Russell impressed me with his profound lyrics, and thoughts." 

Mohammad Rafiquzzaman is very concerned about the current situation of the music industry, and he said lyricists like Russell will show us the path to overcome the alarming situation of the industry, and write better lyrics. 

Towards the end of the discussion Russell thanked everybody for coming, and participating. 

The event, moderated by journalist Munni Shaha, was held on Thursday at AKSB auditorium on Bangla Academy premises. 

Bappa Mazumder, and Fahmida Nabi’s songs were a treat for the audience at the end.
