Nadira Majumder receives Anannya Sahitya Award

Nadira is receiving the award for her contribution in the field of books about science. Among the published books by Nadira Majumder there are Ei Amader Prithibi, Akmeru Bonam Bohumeru, Mohabishshe Amrao Achi, Biman, Krittim Upogroho, Agneogiri O Bhumikomper Kahini, Nanaronger Biggan, Einstein Superstar, Shomoy, Tumi Ke?, etc

Author Nadira Majumder has been selected for the prestigious Anannya Sahitya Award of the Bangla year 1426. Nadira is receiving the award for her contribution in the field of books about science. The award will be officially handed to Nadira on Sunday at 4pm in Bangladesh National Museum's Poet Sufia Kamal auditorium.

The chief guest of the award ceremony will be Professor Emeritus Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, and the special guest will be Professor Muhammad Ibrahim. The event will be presided by Tasmima Hossain.

Nadira Majumder has been living at Check Republic for a long time. She was born on May 1, 1953, in Dhaka. She completed honors in Physics from University of Dhaka. In her professional life Nadira has worked as an accountant, computer programmer, financial manager, and a policy maker for Check Republic. She also worked as an external consultant to the Refugee Commission of United Nations. 

Among the published books by Nadira Majumder there are Ei Amader Prithibi, Akmeru Bonam Bohumeru, Mohabishshe Amrao Achi, Biman, Krittim Upogroho, Agneogiri O Bhumikomper Kahini, Nanaronger Biggan, Einstein Superstar, Shomoy, Tumi Ke?, etc.

Anannya Sahitya Award was established in the Bangla year 1401-  which was 1993 according to the Gregorian calendar. Every year a female author is recognized for their work through the presentation of the Anannya Sahitya Award.

Some of the notable winners of Anannya Sahitya Award are - Selina Hossain, Rizia Rahman, Nilima Ibrahim, Dilara Hashem, Rabeya Khatun, Sanjida Khatun, Shahid Janani Jahanara Imam (posthumous), Nurjahan Begum, Razia Khan Amin, Ruby Rahman, Purabi Basu, Anwara Syed Haq, Mokbula Monzur, Jharna Das Purkayastha, Saleha Chowdhury, Noorjahan Bose, Maleka Begum, Quazi Rosy, Professor Niaz Zaman, Jahanara Naushin, Sonia Nishat Amin, Begum Akhtar Kamal and Begum Mushtari Shafi.
