The Instagram Platform IGTV is set to launch the first web series of Bangladesh titled Dear Memories.

IGTV is the video sharing platform initiated by Instagram for content creators in 2019.

Dear Memories is produced by Indiminds and Sublime Media. The series is created by three young Bangladeshi film-makers – Umme Salma, Mashuk Hossain, and Shuvo Paul.

Umme Salma stated in a press release: “The stories of Dear Memories are taken from our everyday life. The audience will be able to relate their life’s stories with the series.

"We have taken a risk but we are hopeful. The series was experimental and some of it was new to us. We have learned a lot and it was a great experience for us."

George Dipto, Umme Salma, Rafi Watson, Mamun Chowdhury Ripon, and others have acted in the series.

The music for the series was composed by George Dipto who is also playing the central character in the series.

He told the media: “Dear Memory is the story of the hidden desire that every person keeps inside themselves. We hope the audience will enjoy the series as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

The shooting of the series is complete, and now the post-production work is in progress. The official poster of the series was released in January.

The web series will debut on  February 14, on  BigBong’s own channel on IGTV Platform. The work for season two is supposed to commence right after the streaming of the first season.
