Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi's action-packed trailer released

The fourth installment of Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe Sooryavanshi features Akshay Kumar in the lead role, paired up with Katrina Kaif. Ajay Devgan and Ranveer Singh are also set to make cameo appearances as well. The trailer of the much anticipated film was released on Sunday.

The trailer reveals Sooryavanshi, the eponymous hero of the film, played by Akshay Kumar as the head of an anti-terrorist squad. He faces the challenge of an imminent terrorist attack in Mumbai by an extremist group, the leader of which is portrayed by veteran actor Jackie Shroff. 

Ajay Devgan and Ranveer Singh have reprised their roles of DCP Bajirao Singham and Inspector Sangram "Simmba" Bhalerao from the franchise's previous successful films.

The announcement of a fourth installment of Shetty's Cop Universe came through the post-credit scenes of his previous film Simmba. The first look posters were released last year on March 5. 

Although the film was supposed to be released during the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, Rohit Shetty announced that Sooryavanshi is to be theatrically released on March 24.
