Earlier in 2016, the British Council, Dhaka Theatre, and Graeae Theatre Company, UK, jointly organized a play titled A different Romeo and Juliet, featuring artists with disability in Dhaka

Update : 09 Mar 2020, 09:49 PM

The British Council, in collaboration with Dhaka Theatre, will organize a theatre workshop for theatre activists and persons with disability from March 19.

The workshop will be held under DARE (Disability Arts: Redefining Employment), a three-year-long capacity development project of the British Council for theatre activists and persons with disabilities. The project was launched on last December.

DARE aims to build goodwill for creating positive perception changes regarding the underprivileged persons with disabilities in communities across the country. Hence, this workshop is an effort to promote their identity through empowerment and social inclusion.

Earlier in 2016, the British Council, Dhaka Theatre, and Graeae Theatre Company, UK, jointly organized a play titled A different Romeo and Juliet, featuring artists with disability in Dhaka.

The deadline to apply for the workshop is March 14. Applicants must be over the age of 18.
