“This might be my last concert, my last stage performance.”
Popular Bangladeshi musician and country’s most influential bass guitarist Sumon had to cancel a scheduled surgery in Germany due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Sumon has been battling with Cancer for quite a while. While receiving treatment, he has also been seriously injured in an accident. Chances of his recovery depended on his surgery in Germany. Otherwise Sumon might be crippled for life.
He said: “The whole world is in a state of disarray. Under these circumstances, I did not try to go to Germany.”
He urged his fans to remain at home, to be more responsible. He appealed to them not to travel to tourist spots or gather at one place.
Sumon made a surprise appearance in Joy Bangla concert on March 7. He was seen leaning on a crutch during the entirety of his performance.
At one point, he remarked: “This might be my last concert, my last stage performance.”
