The proceeds will go to Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Foundation to feed 3,000 people for a month
Singer-turned-actor Tahsan Khan's first album Kothopokothon (2004) is still bringing in stacks of dough. The master date copy of that album sold for a whopping Taka 7.5 lakh on April 27 at an online auction, along with the hand written lyrics of Irsha (Jealousy).
Auction for Action arranged a Facebook live on Monday at 11pm where the items were sold to Amin Hasan, who bought it as a gift to his wife. Tahsan's former bandmates Jon Kabir and Tony also joined the live, singing one of their classics- Amar Prithibi, which was the highlight of the event for the fans.
Tahsan said: "There is only one master date copy of the album. I kept the lyrics with me for 16 years. It's not easy for me to part with these. But it's a small sacrifice to stand by people in need."
The proceeds will go to Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Foundation to feed 3,000 people for a month. Auction for Action previously sold Sakib Al Hasan's World Cup bat for Taka 20 lakhs in their first auction on April 22.
