Director Pamela B Green will be present for a conversation with director Rubaiyat Hossain and a Q&A with the audiences

From the international award winning director Pamela B Green in 2018 came the film Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy−Blache which is based on the life of world’s first female filmmaker Alice Guy-Blache.

This film was screened out of competition at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival in the Cannes Classics category.  It was nominated for the festival's L'Œild'or documentary prize.

Be Natural went on to screen at Telluride, Deauville American Film Festival, New York Film Festival, and London BFI Film Festival. The project was launched with a successful Kickstarter campaign, which prompted other crowdfunding opportunities.

Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy−Blache be screened on 7 PM Saturday, September 12 on Khona Viewing Room presented by Khona Talkies.

Immediately following the screening, director Pamela B Green will be present for a conversation with director Rubaiyat Hossain and a Q&A with the audiences.

This film is both a tribute and a detective story, tracing the circumstances by which this extraordinary artist, female director, screenwriter, producer, and studio owner Alice Guy-Blaché faded from memory and the path toward her reclamation.

On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 96% approval rating based on 46 reviews. Reviewing for The Hollywood Reporter, Leslie Felperin considered that Be Natural "represents a timely contribution to the international conversation about the challenges facing women filmmakers while also boosting the reputation of someone who really should be better known by now as a role model. As a teaching and consciousness-raising tool, it will be an indispensable resource."

A. O. Scott for The New York Times wrote, "Be Natural is inspiring because it is also appalling."

Originally from New York, Pamela B. Green lived most of her life in Europe and Israel and as a result, is fluent in English, French, Italian, and Hebrew.

In 2005, she founded PIC, an entertainment and motion design boutique based in Los Angeles, California. Green's work ranges from feature film main titles, motion graphics, creative directing, directing and producing music videos and commercials.

She is known in the industry for creating titles sequences and story sequences using her knowledge of graphic design, animation, editorial, and archival rare stock footage research.

A handful of selected people can watch the film on ‘Khona Viewing Room’. Interested people will need to fill-up a participation form on behalf of that. Registrants can view the movie online through this link:
