According to reports, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation carried out demolition work at Kangana’s office as a result of the actor's feud with Shiv Sena

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished Kangana Rananut’s property in Bandra, Mumbai. The actor claims that the Maharashtra government is deliberately targeting her because of a feud with the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, particularly its MP Sanjay Raut.

It all began when Kangana Ranaut compared Mumbai with Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK). She was feeling unsafe after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in Mumbai and tweeted, “why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?”

In response, Shiv Sena politician, Sanjay Raut called Kangana Ranaut a 'haramkhor ladki'. Kangana hit back, tweeting: “In 2008 Movie Mafia declared me a Psycho, in 2016 they called me a Witch and Stalker in 2020 Maharashtra Minister publicity gave me the title of Haramkhor Ladki, because I said after a murder I feel unsafe in Mumbai, where are INTOLERANCE debate warriors?”

Shiv Sena controlled BMC, in the midst of this controversy, carried out demolition work at Kangana’s production house - Manikarnika Films office in Bandra, issuing a notice for illegal construction. BMC's move was criticized by many for being openly 'vindictive.'

However, according to scroll.in, the Bombay High Court on Wednesday stayed the demolition of actor Kangana Ranaut’s property in Mumbai’s Bandra area after Kangana had filed a petition against the demolition drive.

Kangana shared photos of her wrecked office space and compared it to Ram temple. "The first film in Manikarnika films, Ayodhya was announced, it is not a building for me but Ram temple itself, today Babur has come there, today history will repeat itself Ram temple will be broken again but remember Babur this temple will be built again, this temple will be built again, Jai Shri Ram, Jai Shri Ram, Jai Shri Ram."

In a  series of videos, Kangana called out Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, stating, “My home was demolished today, your ego will be destroyed tomorrow. This is the wheel of time, remember, it never stays the same. You have done a favour to me. I knew what Kashmiri Pandits had gone through but today I felt it too. I vow to this country that I will make a film not only on Ayodhya but also Kashmir.”

Bollywood celebrities Apurva Asrani, Hansal Mehta, Dia Mirza, Renuka Shahane, Nikhil Dwivedi among others have condemned demolition of Kangana’s property.
