Student film 'Ashroy: Tale of a Guilt' goes to Pune

Ashroy: Tale of a Guilt has been chosen as an official selection at the 10th Pune Short Film Festival in India, the director of the film, Sara Binte Afzal, told Dhaka Tribune. This is her first endeavour as a film director, which she completed as her graduation project under the supervision of  SM Imran Hossain, lecturer of Department of Television , Film and Photography, University of Dhaka. 

The film follows a conflicted man who runs away from his troubles and seeks shelter from an unassuming family. His guilt eventually catches up with him, making it impossible for him to keep up appearances.

Apart from Pune, the short film has also been selected in Jharkhand International Film Festival & Awards,  7th Goa Short Film Festival and 1st Alibag Short Film Festival of India. The protagonist of this film is portrayed by Sayed Babu. Other roles are played by Iqbal Ahmed, Mousumee Mosharraf , Najmun Nafis Khan and Mita Muni.
