Christopher Nolan, Tom Cruise and others are going back to cinema, but audiences hesitate to follow
Christopher Nolan is walking the walk and staying true to his passion for cinema. The Tenet director went to pay a visit to the Regal Cinemas in California on Wednesday, September 16 with wife and longtime producer Emma Thomas.
Deadline reports, the filmmaker was at the theatre to watch Sony’s rom-com The Broken Hearts Gallery, and the week earlier, he checked out The Personal History of David Copperfield.
Nolan’s science fiction drama Tenet remains the major Hollywood release as of today while 30 percent of US theatres are closed.
Following Tenet’s ‘lackluster’ domestic Boxoffice run, studios are already taking notes and delaying the big releases, including those of Wonder Woman 1984, Candyman, and Black Widow.

Nolan joined Tom Cruise and other celebrities who have publicly shared their movie-going experiences in an attempt to encourage viewers. However, audiences remain reluctant to return to threatres while the pandemic rages.
