'We’re super excited to make the first (Bangladeshi) original here'
Acclaimed Bangladeshi film-maker Abrar Athar was spotted on October 13 at the set of an upcoming project where actors Shamol Mawla (Iti, Tomari Dhaka), Shariful Razz (No Dorai) and Afran Nisho are playing major roles.
Athar, who is known for his work in Life in Other Words and Koli 2.0 was seen at an abandoned brick factory in Manikganj with a shoot fully underway in the dead of night. The director of photography was Tahsin Rahman, Dhaka’s home-grown world class cinematographer.

Although the details of the venture were kept under wraps, the talented young director shared snippets of information with Dhaka Tribune Showtime.
“It’s a crime/thriller/comedy and we’re super excited to make the first (Bangladeshi) original (film) of an OTT platform,” the writer/director said.
Which platform? That we have to wait to find out.
