Cinema halls in Bangladesh opened after seven months on Friday, October 16. The Information Ministry had issued a circular on October 14 permitting all concerned authorities to open the cinema halls keeping at least half of the number of seats in the cinema halls vacant and ensuring proper hygiene and social distancing during the prevailing Covid-19 situation. On the first day of reopening, theatre officials were seen wearing masks and welcoming cinema-goers with hand sanitizers. Inside the halls, audiences were seated at intervals.
