During a twitter catfight, Ranaut decided to attack a 22-year-old artist for her depression, calling her ‘toxic’ and ‘creepy looking’
Priyanka Paul, an illustrator, was the latest name in an already long list of artists being shamed for their mental illness by Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut.
In a painfully honest tweet, Priyanka addressed the challenges of mental illness, such as self-harm, suicidal tendencies and public meltdowns. “Some days I’ve done all of them together and that’s what I call multi-tasking,” she quipped.
Kangana responded by calling the artist ‘toxic’ and ‘weirdo’. The 33-year-old Queen star asked Priyanka to get a new hairstyle in order to cure her depression.
“See the state of yourself. Why don’t you do something about it? You admit to being suicidal, are toxic and look creepy as well. What faults do you not have? Change that hairstyle ASAP and learn to meditate.”
Previously, Ranaut mocked Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone for struggling with depression and clinical anxiety by alleging that the Piku actor is upset over a breakup that happened ‘eight years ago.’
Kangana said at the time: “This illness has no diagnosis based on blood reports or body scans, anyone can gather a bloodthirsty mob and declare one a psycho and get them lynched, stop using mental illness so loosely.
Many on Twitter immediately bashed Kangana for her inappropriate and tactless remarks regarding mental health this time.
A fan wrote, “@KanganaTeam mocks and derides someone who has acknowledged they have contemplated suicide and self-harm. She makes fun of her looks and tells her to meditate. Anyone who ridicules the suffering of others is themselves in dire need of help. Hope she gets it soon.”
“Yes break ups hurt but did u ever used to be a Kangana Ranaut fan?” another wrote.
