Anthology film Sincerely Yours, Dhaka has joined the race for Oscars 2021. It is the official selection from Bangladesh to compete for the Best Foreign Language Film award.
The impress telefilm production competed with director Rubaiyat Hossain's widely acclaimed Made in Bangladesh to earn this honour. The Bangladesh Oscar Committee selected the film after watching both films at the Ashirbad Films office in Kakrail.

Chairman of Bangladesh Oscar Committee and Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies Habibur Rahman Khan, film researcher Professor Abdur Selim, President of Directors' Guild Bangladesh Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, cinematographer Ponkaj Palit, and director Shameem Akhter were present at the meeting.
Habibur Rahman Khan regretted not being able to hold a press conference due to the ongoing pandemic.
Eleven young film-makers contributed to the anthology. They are Abdullah Al Noor, Golam Kibria Farooki, Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Mahmudul Islam, Md Robiul Alam, Mir Mukarram Hossain, Nuhash Humayun, Rahat Rahman, Syed Ahmed Shawki, Syed Saleh Ahmed Sobhan, and Tanvir Ahsan.
The film had its world premiere at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival last year, held in South Korea.
