Liza’s cover of 'Aaj Pasha Khelbore Sham', on RTV’s Igloo Folk Station Season 1, reached 7 million hits and earned her instant acclaim
Sadia Sultana Liza, an aspiring folk singer, who has already established herself as an artist to look out for, is keeping herself busy amid the quarantine.
A student of Microbiology, Liza started pursuing music when she was very young. Her family provided her with constant encouragement, and consequently Liza found her calling in folk music.
“Dilruba Khan, Shafi Mandal, Momtaz Begum and Farida Parveen are my idols,” said the singer, hailing from Rajshahi.
She is currently working on releasing her original tracks. Liza’s cover of 'Aaj Pasha Khelbore Sham', on RTV’s Igloo Folk Station Season 1, reached 7 million hits as of today.
The singer is carefully choosing her appearances on radio and TV shows due to the ongoing pandemic. “We need to evaluate our actions in a new light. Right now we are faced with a situation where we cannot afford to take a single misstep. We are responsible for each other’s safety and health,” she said.
I believe we will soon leave these sad times behind us. But for now, music will help us, that we can certainly count on, to overcome these dark days.”
