A live concert named Musicians for Life will be held on February 5 at Jamuna Future Park, as a part of the Musicians for Humanity initiative by some popular bands of Bangladesh. The line-up of the charitable concert includes Super Surprise Act, Black, Arbovirus, Avoid Rafa, Mechanix and Trainwreck.
The proceeds of the concert will be used to support the medical expenses of Shahadat Parvez Tuhin, the co-ordinator of the band, Heart Relations (HRB). Tuhin's bone marrow was transplanted four months ago, but his health deteriorated further recently. His treatment now requires a total of 20 lakh Taka.
Aftabuzzaman Tridib, one of the conveners of Musicians for Humanity and vocalist of Mechanix, said,: "We want to stand by the musicians of our country in any critical moment of our life. Our audience is our inspiration and our efforts will go one step further if they become more enthusiastic and join us at this time. If we all come forward humanely and socially, then people will find the justification for the phrase Manush Manusher Jonno.”
The six hour long concert will start at 1:30pm and continue till 8pm on Friday.
